GENERAL DESCRIPTION
SEM400 is a UHF radio modem which is designed based on International standards to send and receive data applicable in industries, especially designed and built for use in the power industry.
Product Application
- Data transmission between a large number of points that are spread in urban areas:
- dispatching systems, electrical networks (distribution and sub-distribution)
- Remote automatic reading of electricity, water and gas meters.
- Data transfer between bank branches and travel agencies
- Data transmission between locations that do not have access to telecommunications common lines or the use of cable lines is costly.
- Data transmission in mobile mode.
- Early warning Network Monitoring: floods, fires.
- Telemetry systems:
Remote control operation or modification will be carried out in Electricity supply networks, gas and oil pipelines, equipment related to water resources management and sanitation, railways, mining, industrial, agricultural and anywhere that requires knowledge of network status, system control, data collection and diagnosis and correction of system faults.
- Data collection and control:
This system could actually be connected to any data acquisition system (Data Logger), RTUs (point-to-point or point to multipoint), PLC (for factory automation) or any equipment which is connected with RS-232 interface.
- Power industry application features:
- Can be used with distribution automation protocols (IEC870-5-101, DNP3)
- Applicable to the system of commanding and data acquisition (SCADA)\
- Data collection and control applications (point-to-point or point to multipoint)
- Can be used in power distribution RTUs.

- RS-232 port asynchronous interface to set the bit rate in the range of 0.3 to 38.4 kilo bits per second.
